Full EV Reuse & Remanufacturing

High-value recovery

Electric vehicles (EVs) are projected to transform the automobile industry. Approximately 70% of an EV’s parts are completely different from those used in a traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle. Alloy compositions of materials such as aluminum and steel are likely to be different from ICE. High-value materials such as lithium, cobalt, and nickel are especially important to EV production.

Through REMADE℠ R&D projects, the goal is to develop effective recycling technologies to address the projected increase in EV demand and ensure the recovery of high-value materials for use in future EV production.

Our Goals

Achieve significant recovery (by weight) of the entire EV

CREATE high-speed disassembly processes

Develop high-speed shredding and material separation technologies

Develop condition assessment technologies to facilitate the reuse and remanufacturing of components

Develop advanced recycling and recovery technologies for high-purity material use in future EV production
