NYS Waste Tire Request for Information

GENERAL INFORMATION

The REMADE Institute (REMADE), a division of the Sustainable Manufacturing Innovation Alliance (SMIA) Corp. is soliciting information to refine its requirements for issuing Requests for Proposals (RFP) for two separate grant programs focused on development of technology and markets for scrap tires generated in New York State (NYS Waste Tire Program).

This RFI is for information and planning purposes ONLY and is not to be construed as a solicitation.

Responses to this RFI are sought from industry including small business enterprises (SBE), academia, non-profits, and other stakeholders.

The due date for responses to this RFI is 5 pm EST on July 15, 2025.

1. What are technical, economic and/or regulatory barriers that must be addressed to develop new markets and/or expand existing markets for materials and products recovered from ELT?
