RIT and REEgen Inc. will scale up REEgen’s BioREEcover™ process to continuously process one ton per day of magnetically separated e-scrap to produce saleable mixed rare-earth oxides (mREOs) with high concentrations of magnet-relevant rare-earth elements (REEs). The team will also perform a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Techno-economic Analysis (TEA) to validate the technical, economic, and environmental performance of their process against REMADE’s Technical Performance Metrics (TPMs).
