Computer Vision and AI for the E-Cycling Receiving Process

RIT and Sunnking Sustainable Solutions will demonstrate the performance of an optical character recognition (OCR) based system to improve sorting accuracy and efficiency for electronic scrap entering Sunnking’s facilities. The smartphone-based systems they use will be connected to a secure cloud infrastructure where OCR processing will take place, as well as eBay, Amazon, and the manufacturers’ databases to automatically estimate the value and assess the market demand for the e-scrap being evaluated.
