REMADE Academy Mentorship Webinar Series
We are proud to introduce this industry mentorship webinar series designed to support students on their manufacturing career journey. This is the newest initiative of our student-focused programs that provides access to over 97 hours of REMADE Academy online courses and opportunities for students to contribute directly to REMADE projects.
The third webinar of this series features Andy Browne, Technical Project Manager for Footwear Materials Innovation at Adidas, and Ian Goodine, CEO and a technical cofounder of rStream Recycling, to share what their typical workday looks like in the manufacturing sector and insights on industry trends.

Guest Speakers

Andy Browne is a technical project manager whose career spans continents, industries, and disciplines. With a hands-on ethos and a knack for turning ideas into tangible products, Andy has led over 50 projects from initial 2D concepts to full-scale production, collaborating daily with factory partners, designers, developers, and marketers.
Currently serving as the Technical Project Manager for Footwear Materials Innovation at adidas, Andy is overseeing a publicly funded research initiative focused on developing sustainable materials for performance products. In collaboration with REMADE, Braskem, and MIT this project aims to develop recycled EVA, a technology that can dramatically increase recycled content and pioneer circularity in the industry. In this role, he bridges the gap between research partners and internal stakeholders, driving innovation while managing complex technical deliverables.
At Chinook Footwear, Andy spearheaded the import and launch of DESMA machines, ramped up production across thousands of units, and helped shape the brand’s identity as a maker of rugged, affordable gear built to last. His helped open the first Black Owned footwear factory in the United States. Starting with an empty warehouse, Andy imported machines, installed, and taught a team of 15 how to manufacture shoes!
Andy’s portfolio also includes award-winning innovations like HALO HOLDS, which earned over $10,000 in prototype awards, a full suspension wood and composite bike, and an automated pitching feeder developed in collaboration with OSU Baseball. His engineering chops are backed by deep experience in SOP creation, fluid simulation, CAD, rapid prototyping, and cross-functional team leadership.
Whether it’s designing sustainable water systems for remote communities in Nicaragua, deconstructing and retrofitting high-performance footwear, or orchestrating summits to elevate sports product development, Andy brings vision, grit, and precision to every endeavor.

Ian Goodine is proving that technology, sustainability, and entrepreneurship can—and should—go hand in hand. As the CEO and technical co-founder of rStream, a REMADE member, he’s using advanced robotics and AI to transform the way the recycling industry works. His startup is developing cutting-edge systems that make waste collection smarter, more sustainable, and more efficient.
