Efficient Purification of Carbon Black Recovered from End-of-Life Tires for Reuse
Join REMADE on July 21 to learn about a new recycling process to purify carbon black recovered from recycled tires.
This talk will focus on a new process developed by the University of Utah, Idaho National Laboratory, and Green Carbon on how to demineralize carbon black recovered from pyrolyzed tires for recycling. With this approach, savings in processing energy and costs of 60% to 90% can be realized when compared to conventional acid-base demineralization. Current challenges and unresolved technical issues will be discussed.
