Deputy Node Lead, Remanufacturing & End-of-Life Reuse
Kristi Schipull is the Deputy Node Lead for the Remanufacturing & End-of-Life Reuse Node of the REMADE Institute, where she assists in guiding technology research to advance the implementation of advanced remanufacturing technologies.
Ms. Schipull’s expertise in remanufacturing includes materials microstructure analysis, failure mode and effects analysis, cleaning, additive repair, and non-destructive product testing. She brings 10 years of industry experience to the Institute, including eight years at Caterpillar, where she championed new technology from conception, through validation, to production manufacturing, and into reapplication to different products. She was a major contributor to CAT’s laser cladding programs, becoming an expert within the company.
Currently, Ms. Schipull is a Senior Materials Engineer at the Golisano Institute for Sustainability at Rochester Institute of Technology, where her research focuses on assisting local industries with manufacturing challenges and expanding additive repair capabilities. Ms. Schipull holds a BS in Materials Engineering from Iowa State University.
