Node Lead, Recycling & Recovery
Dr. Peterson is the Node Lead for the Recycling & Recovery arm of the REMADE Institute, where he leads a diverse research team on developing technologies and methodologies that make material recycling more efficient and increase recovery yields. Dr. Peterson’s experience as a Divisional Laboratory Fellow at Idaho National Laboratory equipped him with expertise across the constituent disciplines critical to effective material recycling & recovery—from fundamental molecular interactions to technology scale-up and deployment. Dr. Peterson has spent much of his career actively interfacing with industry partners, experience that has led to 18 US patents and three successfully commercialized technologies. Dr. Peterson’s prowess from the laboratory to commercial deployment is an invaluable asset to the Institute.
Dr. Peterson holds a BA in Biology and BS in Chemistry from Concordia College, as well as a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Montana State University.
